  2. I've tried microwaving it with no luck! Does it work when it's hard as a rock? Maybe I just didn't do it long enough. Thanks for the tip on the moon - got it on my calendar now! Love that photo!!

    1. Yep, hard as rock! Try it for a little longer. It would depend on how large a lump you're trying to soften. If possible, try to break up the whole piece (if it's too big) into sections.

    1. I couldn't reply to your email...so here it is: It's a thistleweed. They are wonderful subjects and they look so different in their different stages of blooms. I saw a whole group of them last weekend and took several shots. I'll be posting more!

  12. Did you know . . . that thistles are one of my favorite flowers? They also have very soft heads once they're fully bloomed out and smell just like honey! Beautiful picture! ; )
