She Was Having A Blast

the Bird Bath
was NASTY

no wonder
there had been no action
for awhile

it was sludge

so I  washed
and scrubbed
and made it all clean
for the birdies

the moment
I turned off the hose
and turned my back from the bath
I heard something
right behind me

she had obviously been waiting patiently
didn't even wait for me to walk away
she was having a blast
and, as luck would have it, my camera was close by!

  1. That's awesome! I'm not sure I've ever actually seen a bird use a bird bath - maybe they were all too dirty. Nice captures!

  15. That is just so adorable. Lucky you to have camera nearby. Sometimes the birds will take their baths on puddles in our driveway when it rains or we water the lawn, it's so cute and fun to watch them.

  16. Awwww such a sweet post! My birds love my birdbath too in the yard and I try hard to keep it clean. When it starts getting dirty and has rust spots iin it, I take a bottle of bleach and a scrub brush out to clean it. All I do is empty the water out with the hose and then pour about a tablespoon on straight bleach and then scrub away. It's the easiest way for me to keep it clean. I then spray it forever to make sure no bleach remains. I just Love to see the sweet birdies in there taking their baths! It's so cute!
