slow and steady wins the race

::

i've learned that success comes in a very prickly package.
whether you choose to accept it or not is up to you.
it's what you choose to do with it,
the people you choose to surround yourself with.
always choose people that are better than you.
always choose people that challenge you and are smarter than you.
always be the student.
once you find yourself to be the teacher, you've lost.

 this happy
little cactus
sits on a
window sill
in eyesight
of my desk
facing the sun

it inches upwards
barely noticeable
to the eye
it grows

slowly
steadily
confidently

  1. Beautiful colors. Love the contrast of the pot and the green of the cactus. I tend to overwater cacti and kill them :/ I think plants are more difficult to care for than children!
