Monday's Movies & Music

art comes in all forms
and even though this blog was created for the art of photography
i decided it would be fun
to change things up once a week and share
one favorite video with you

a favorite movie scene
a favorite piece of music

stop by each monday for a little m&m!
for those at work, you might like to wait til evening
to launch things off
i've chosen...
one of the most artistic movies i've ever seen
and each time i watch it, i'm in awe

"an astonishing adventure of a wily and resourceful boy
whose quest to unlock a secret left to him by his father
will transform Hugo and all those around him,
and reveal a safe and loving place he can call home"
if you haven't seen it...i highly recommend it
this opening scene might just suck you in!

"i love the idea of seeing the world through a boy's eyes"
martin scorsese

note ~ even though the movie was made in 3D, i've only viewed it normally, and it's still fantastic

open to full screen and turn up the volume!

  1. It's a great scene !
    Very good job...
    Best regards from paris,

  2. its a fun movie ... one of my favorites

  3. I do remember this movie; it was lots of fun.....

  4. I am going to have to watch this...I forgot it came out! Thanks

  5. Hugo has been on my "must see" list for quite awhile. Apparently I need to move it to the TOP of that list!

  6. Oh, this is a truly magical film!

  7. i loved every drop....getting lost in the mystery:)

  8. I agree with you...a very magical movie. And there was no SEX or KILLINGS to make it exciting. How about that, Hollywood!

  9. Great movie - I felt sad for the station inspector whose voice came from Sacha Baron Cohen to my surprise.

  10. i'm a movie whore....and love so many of them !!!

my favorite song right now is by bruno mars and i haven't a clue as to what's it called...but
oh my gosh, it makes my heart feel soooo much !!!

  11. Jill, this looks AWESOME! Even without 3-D glasses, it looks like it was filmed in such a special way that you really don't need them. Definitely going to see this. Thank you so much!
